Small section of Art Installation works. Both works are an Interactive/Media Art, focusing on slow interaction.
This was a box, covered by metal, plastic tube from one side to the other. The box is in the middle of a red metal board. This board was also connected to another boards. It looked like a metal sculpture, but once people get closer, they can hear something from inside the box, it sounds like as if it was speaking to itself. This project was presented in the group exhibition in Tama Art University in 1999.
This was another box, which looks like a bomb, but was painted in sweet coloures and funny graphics. On the top, there was notice such as 'DANGER. DO NOT TOUCH THIS SWICH'. People's expected reaction would be to try to touch the trigger timidly. When the people have touched it, it triggers several kinds of bell, which sound as if they come from a toy for babies, with vibration. People were surprised and laugh and their reactions would trigger laughter among the audiences. This project was in the group exhibition in Synjuku Takashimaya in 2001.
